VIR Members Make Presence Known at 2007 Illinois State Fair

The Illinois State Fair Parade was held on Thursday evening, August 9th, starting downtown Springfield, IL, and going to the Fairgrounds. The Lincoln Land ABATE Chapter is hosting a semi flat-bed trailer and banners with vintage motorcycles on display. At the request of Muffn Sunley, ABATE Public Relations Coordinator, Leroy Solomon's 1957 Sportster was up front on the display trailer. The 50-year-old motorcycle was purchased new at Crawford's Harley Davidson shop, downtown Springfield, in June, 1957, by Leroy Solomon, Sr. The motorcycle has had Illinois License Plate # 81 on it for over 35 years.

The Lincoln Land ABATE Chapter is hosting a semi flat-bed trailer and banners with vintage motorcycles on display.

At the request of Muffn Sunley, ABATE Public Relations Coordinator, Leroy Solomon's  1957 Sportster will  be up front on the display trailer.

The 50-year-old motorcycle was purchased new at Crawford's Harley Davidson shop, downtown Springfield, in June, 1957, by Leroy Solomon, Sr.

The motorcycle has had Illinois License Plate # 81 on it for over 35 years.

Leroy will ride it on Thursday morning to be put on the display trailer for the parade on Thursday evening.
