On Saturday, Roy Sims won the best Custom Bike in the American Bike Category. On Sunday, the AMA, with Harley- Davidson
sponsorship, had an all Sportster Bike Show as part of their Sportster Marque Bike Celebration. Roy's 1974 Sportster won Best Bike
in the Custom Class. Jeff Christy's 1952 K Model won Best Bike in the K Model Class. Emerson Roderick's 1956 KHK won Best Bike in
the Street Class. The class wins paid cash plus included a special invitation to AMA's Concours d' Elegance Bike Show as part of
the AMA's Annual Induction to the Hall of Fame Program on October 5-6, 2007. This bike show is by invitation only and to only 100
bikes. Also, Jeff Christy's H-D KHR was chosen for display in the Marquee Tent. This display included the best-of -the- best
bikes of special interest. In my opinion, VIR made a very good showing at the Mid- Ohio VMD Sportster/K Model display/show.
VIR had a total of 8 K Models on display/show. There was a lot of spectator interest at our 2 tents of K Models. A good time was
had by all.
